TRUSS - Training in Reducing Uncertainty in Structural Safety – Project is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network – ITN - funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2020 Programme.

TRUSS is considered as an intersectoral and multidisciplinary collaboration between four Universities, eleven Industry partners and one Research institute from five European countries (Ireland, UK, France, Spain & Denmark) and it is funding fourteen Individual Research Projects (IRPs).
TRUSS ITN is structured into five Work Packages (WPs) and IRPs are grouped into two research clusters:
  • Buildings, Energy and Marine Infrastructure
  • Rail and Road Infrastructure
This project aims to develop an improved reliability analysis, which thus may result in more efficient infrastructure design, assessment, monitoring and maintenance strategies.

TRUSS training program is structured into taught modules combined with original and impactful research supported by secondments, that will qualify fellows with significant insights and exposure to research and innovation in both academia and industry.
As a complete training network, TRUSS is going to organise yearly meetings between all ESRs and their Supervisors in order to exchange knowledge & ideas, as well as training weeks, workshops and outreach activities.
